Prof. Zhang Tong's book the Theory and Case of European Economic and Trade Law was published by the China University of Political Science and Law Press in July 2014.
The book was co-authored by Dr. Liu Xu, Prof. Xu Yan and Dr. Deng Dexiong. the research result of the 2011-2014 EU Jean Monnet Programme (Contract Number 2011-3251/001-001) led by Prof. Zhang Tong, and is also one of the 'EU Jean Monnet Programme Series'.
This book is mainly based on the background of European integration, and comprehensively introduces the development and current situation of the EU's economic and trade legal system. The contents of this book include: an overview of EU economic and trade law, EU internal market law, EU competition law, EU consumer protection law, EU common customs law, EU economic and monetary law and EU foreign trade law. Based on the practical needs of China's EU economic and trade law teaching and research, this book absorbs the latest achievements of EU economic and trade law research, especially the Lisbon Treaty that came into force, and closely combines the theory and judicial practice of EU economic and trade law, which not only makes a comprehensive and in-depth interpretation of EU economic and trade theory and law, but also shows the judicial practice of the EU economic and trade legal system through the typical precedents of the European Court of Justice.
