The tenth International Symposium on Russian Legal System and Jurisprudence was successfully held in Harbin on 24 June, 2023.
The symposium was hosted by the Law School and the School of Northeast Asia Arbitration of Heilongjiang University and the Heilongjiang Russian Legal System and Jurisprudence Society, jointly organised by the College, the Research Centre for Russian Law of the Heilongjiang University and the Research Centre Comparative Law of Henan University, and co-organised by the journals Northern Legal Science and Seeking Truth. More than 150 experts and scholars from over 50 institutions in China and Russia attended the conference.
Vice President & Secretary-General of the China Comparative Law Society Prof. Wang Zhihua, from the College, chaired the panel discussion on the second module Exchange and Reference of Legislative Experiences Between China and Russia. Doctoral candidates of the College Ербахаев Е. А., Yang Zhennan and Chen Yuxi attended the meeting. Ербахаев and Chen respectively presented their reports on the Translation of Legal Texts from Chinese to Russian and the Impact of Unilateral Economic Measures on the Performance of International Commercial Contracts: Under the Background of the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict.
