President of the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) Huang Jin met with Chief Judge of the Civil Division No 4 of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China (Civil Division No 4) Luo Dongchuan on Xueyuanlu Campus of CUPL on the afternoon of 31 Dec, 2014.
Dignitaries included Judge Gao Xiaoli and Judge Ding Guangyu from the Civil Division No 4, Director Lu Song from Dispute Resolution Research Center of the China Foreign Affairs University. Dean Gao Xiang, Associate Dean Xie Libin and Dr. Zhai Yuanjian from the College of Comparative Law of CUPL and Dean Kong Qingjiang, Associate Dean Du Xinli and Associate Dean Huo Zhengxin from Faculty of International Law of CUPL also attended the meeting.
The two parties discussed issues focusing on the co-establishing of the Research Centre for Ascertainment of Foreign Law, confirmed the first batch of involving experts, and decided to hold the opening ceremony of the Centre as well as the symposium on foreign law ascertaining.
The decision of co-establishing this centre was made after the College of Comparative Law negotiated with the Civil Division No 4. President Huang Jin and Chief Judge Luo Dongchuan signed the framework agreement on establishing the centre on 28 Nov, 2014.
