Faculty of Law of Moscow University visits CCL

The delegation of the Faculty of Law of Moscow University visited the College and held cordial and friendly talks with the faculty on Xueyuanlu Campus on the afternoon of 20 June, 2023.



The Russian delegation consisted of five professors from the Moscow University, including Director of the Department of Business Law of Faculty of Law Prof. Е. П. Губин, Prof. Ю. С. Харитонова and A/Prof. К. Кичик. The CUPL side who participated in the talks included Dean of the College Prof. Xie Zhiyong, Associate Dean of the School of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law Prof. Liu Jifeng and Prof. Wang Zhihua from the College.





The Russian dignitaries first introduced the relevant situation and future plans of the Faculty of Law of Moscow University in training Chinese law students studying abroad in recent years. They also expressed their willingness and plan to cooperate with Chinese colleagues in the fields of interest, such as energy law, environmental law, digital law, anti-monopoly law, competition law, company law and legal protection of foreign investment.


Xie Zhiyong introduced the achievements of the College in terms of Russian law research, discipline construction and postgraduate training in recent years, and hoped that in the future there would be substantive cooperation with the Faculty in teaching, academic exchange and student exchange.


Liu Jifeng introduced the relevant situation of the School of Civil and Commercial, Economic Law to the guests and showed the relevant research results of the Russian economic law, especially the anti-monopoly law. He also exchanged views and feasibility plans on assigning faculty members to teach at each other’s university.


Wang Zhihua briefed the delegation on the achievements made by the Russian law Research Centre of CUPL since its establishment 20 years ago in the fields of Sino-Russian legal research, academic exchanges and student training. He analysed and prospected the possible areas of future cooperation between the College and the Faculty.
