President of the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Prof. Huang Jin, President of the University of Freiburg, Prof. Hans-Jochen Schiewer and the Secretary-General of The German Academic Exchange Center (DAAD), Prof. Dorothea Rüland, signed the "DAAD Funding in the CUPL Framework Agreement" last week.
According to this agreement, DAAD will continuously provide the China-Germany Law Institute of College of Comparative Law in the CUPL with a second period of funding, aiming at the fields of teaching, research, publication, training and consultancies. The estimated funding amount is expected to be over ?,000,000.
In the year of 2009, Huang signed the funding framework agreement for the first period. Since it came into effect, the DAAD has committed funding in the amount of approximately ?00,000, supporting the cooperation between the CUPL and University of Freiburg, Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, University of Munich, University of Hamburg and University of Cologne.
