The Launch of Research Report “China-Europe Relations in a Multi-Polarizing World” & Inaugural Ceremony of the “China Think-tank Network on Europe” was held by the Center for EU and Regional Development Studies of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) on BFSU Campus in Beijing on 09 Nov, 2024.
Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the China Society for European Studies and other national ministries and academic organizations attended the event and delivered speeches. The delegation of former political dignitaries from European countries such as former Austrian Prime Minister Christian Kern and former German Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Philipp Roesler, as well as many well-known experts and scholars from the European research community in China attended the meeting.
Director of the Centre for China-Europe/EU Law Studies of CUPL Prof. Zhang Tong, from the College, was invited to participate in the activity. As one of the first 15 research institutions in China, the Centre was invited to join the academic platform ‘China Think-tank Network on Europe’. The network will promote the horizontal integration and networking of academic and advisory resources for European studies in China, which will help China and the EU deepen understanding and promote cooperation.
